A traditional Indian Masala Chai recipe.
Our blend consists of a quality Indian tea base with cinnamon, ginger, pepper, anise, cardamon, cloves and flavouring.
The habit of flavouring tea with spices has come to us from Asia and in India for example, where I have some experience, every home has it’s own recipe, often closely guarded.
This can be made just like a regular tea with boiling water or in the Indian traditional way: bringing milk to the boil before adding tea to the pan and simmering for a further 5-8 mins and then straining into a cup.
